Cristiano Ronaldo's exit and what it will mean for Real Madrid, according to Barcelona's Marc Andre-ter Stegen

Ronaldo had threatened to leave Real Madrid on numerous occasions over the years, and finally did so last month
Cristiano Ronaldo shocked the footballing world when he finally left Real Madrid this summer and signed for Juventus in a deal worth £105million.

The Portuguese had threatened to leave on numerous occasions over the years, and after nine campaigns in the Spanish capital he finally called it a day.

Throughout his stint in La Liga the Real Madrid legend went head to head with Barcelona's talisman Lionel Messi to be named the world's greatest player.

The duo will still be able to battle for supremacy this season, but will not come up against each other in one of football's biggest rivalries, El Clasico.

Barcelona keeper Marc Andre-ter Stegen recently spoke out about Ronaldo's move to Serie A, and gave his opinion on how the forward's departure will impact Real Madrid.

"I think they have an amazing team, like every year, just like us," Ter Stegen said. "It'll be equally difficult to play against them with or without Ronaldo.

"You have to understand that this is a player who made the difference in a lot of games, but we focus ourselves on our game and we know that, if we're confident, we have the chance to do it all."
